Dr Lauren Goliath

MBChB (UCT)

A woman with dark hair dressed in white, sitting on a beige patterned chair in a living room with a bouquet of white tulips on a small table beside her.

Hello, Lauren here!

I am a dedicated General Practitioner with a deep commitment to caring for individuals and families at every stage of life, with a special interest in women’s and children’s health. I value building long-term, trusting relationships with my patients and strive to provide care that is both compassionate and evidence-based.

A smiling woman dining outdoors at a restaurant with a plate of green pasta in front of her. She is holding a fork and wearing a light-colored top. The restaurant has yellow tablecloths, umbrellas, and a glass window showing a cobblestone street and historic buildings.

Community is at my core

I obtained my medical degree from the University of Cape Town and completed my internship at Groote Schuur Hospital, where I gained broad clinical experience in a busy tertiary care setting.

I went on to complete my community service in Vredenburg on the West Coast, an experience that deepened my appreciation for holistic, community-focused healthcare and reinforced the importance of accessible, patient-centred medicine.

After my community service, I returned home to Cape Town and have been in general practice since. Outside of medical practice, I am re-energised by spending time outdoors, holidaying on the West Coast, ocean dips, I enjoy a good board game, and quality time with my husband and our family and friends.
